The “Meet Us at Albert’s” project is inspired by the founder of the printing works, Albert Gait, and the rich legacy of the printworks industry in North East Lincolnshire. This research project, funded by Create Grimsby, delved into working-class social history, allowing us to develop a community heritage project that has been well-received across the whole community.
Capturing the development of the print industry in Grimsby has provided opportunities to archive personal family heritage, while also inspiring future creatives through commissioned artwork inspired by the past. Stay tuned for the next stage!
