As part of our People Print Grimsby project, we want to celebrate Grimsby’s long and proud history of print. So many of us don’t realise just how much the print industry shaped our town, from our newspapers, our posters, our railway timetables, and our people.
We’re collecting stories from people who worked in Grimsby’s print industry – from the early days of letterpresses to the rise of digital. Whether you were a typesetter, designer, machinist, apprentice, office hand or worked in one of the shops, we would love to hear your memories.
Why your stories matter
Your story could help us to preserve the spirit of an industry that once helped keep our beloved town ticking.
We’re especially interested in hearing about the people, the machines, and the moments that made your time in printing special.
If you have a story that you want to share, you can share it by clicking the link below.
